    Hi @rise8143,

Thanks for reaching out! cURL Error 7 is happening at the site and suggests that it can’t connect to our servers at all. It’s possible that a firewall on your server is blocking the connection.

If you have access to the shell on your server, sometimes running curl -v https://noc1.wordfence.com/ and sending us the output can help. It’s not a perfect check as it bypasses PHP but in many cases can point to the precise cause of the cURL error.

I can also take a look at your diagnostics to see if anything stands out. You can send one to wftest @ wordfence . com directly from the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    When I run https://noc1.wordfence.com/. I get

    {“errorMsg”:”Wordfence API error: Your site did not send an API key when contacting the Wordfence servers.”}

I sent a diagnostic report by email.

    Hi @rise8143,

Thanks for sending that over. When you say you ran https://noc1.wordfence.com/, did you visit the link in a browser or did you run curl -v https://noc1.wordfence.com/ on the server? We would need the command to be run from the server and the full output.

Please reach out to your host to confirm they haven’t blocked access to noc1.wordfence.com. Your host can also assist running the cURL command if they don’t have any blocks configured.

Let me know what you find out!

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi @rise8143,

I wanted to check in and see if there were any updates on this. Have you had a chance to speak with your host?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

I have reached out to the host and they are blocking noc1.wordfence.com.

I have since changed hosts because of this blocking and wordfence is working on the new host.
