I’m having a problem setting up the plugin. During the setup process, I switch to PayPal and set everything up there, and PayPal confirms that the setup is complete. However, I then get stuck in an endless loop in WooCommerce and can’t complete the setup process there. I can’t access the PayPal plugin settings either; the only option is to click on “complete setup.”

Other posts mention that there is also a manual way to link PayPal to WooCommerce. However, I can’t find the corresponding option in the UI. What can I do?

    Hello @metasequoia

We’ve seen a few reports of this issue before. Here’s how others have resolved it:

    1. Check for caching: If you have any caching active on your site (via a plugin or your host), please temporarily disable it and try again.
    2. Try a different browser: Some users have experienced this problem when using Firefox, but switching to Chrome or another browser allowed the setup to complete successfully.

If the issue persists, you may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists.

Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts

Please give these steps a try and let us know if the issue persists.

    Regards,
    Femi.

Thanks for the response and the suggestions. It is still not working. How do I enter the manual connection mode?

    Hello

You can follow the steps in our documentation here to connect manually.

We would like to debug this issue on your site to understand why the automatic onbaording doesn’t work, if this is okay with you, you can open a ticket with our service desk, Request Support. Please make sure to include the URL of this thread in your ticket for reference.

    Regards,
    Femi.

I had this too. Just do the PayPal set up process and then logout of WordPress and then log back in again then it will all be fine.

The problem has now been solved. We think it was because we were logged in with two different admin accounts on two devices, which disrupted the setup process.
