It doesn’t really have a configuration page… it simply sends the form ID and form field ID names to Google Analytics – just make sure you have the tracking code added to your site already, I recommend Google Analytics for WordPress (by Yoast).
The events show up in Google Analytics under Behavior > Events > Overview, and Behavior > Events > Top Events.
You can then create Conversion Goals based on these Events (‘completed’ and ‘submitted’):
Goal Type: Event
Category, Equals to: <form name>
Action, Equals to: “submitted”
Hi Rob!
Thanks for your answer!
It sounds great! One more question: I use Formidable Pro to generate my forms… it doesn’t define a <form name>, just a <form id>. Does it work anyway?
Hey Rob,
It’s tracking now, but the numbers aren’t correct…
– On the first form, the analytics says 13 events, 12 completed and 1 submitted. The real submitted was 13. I suppose it couldn’t track as submitted the other 12.
– On the second form, analytics says 12 events, none submitted, just completed. The real number is 4 submitted.
Both have just one field and the submit button.
Any idea?
Thanks!
Sorry for the delay. Yes it uses <form ID> values, not names.
The stats on GA take about 12-24 hours to catch up and get added, maybe there’s a delay to what you’re submitting vs the totals it’s showing? If they’re being triggered, it should be sent and recorded on the GA side, and eventually counted.
