When a user is locked out because they got their login details wrong too many times I get an email with their IP address. Is it possible to include the username in this email so I can see who was locked out. This info is available in the Dashboard under Active Lockouts, but it would be useful to have it in the email.

    Hello @joncon62,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Currently, the lockout email system has logic that only includes username information when a user-specific lockout occurs (when the user lockout limit is triggered) but for host/IP-based lockouts (which is what happens when someone enters incorrect login details too many times), the system currently only includes the IP address in the email, even though the username from the failed login attempts is available in the Security Dashboard Active Lockouts card and in the database.

At this time, including the username in lockout emails isn’t possible without modifying the plugin files due to limited filter availability.

That said, since the username data is already being captured and it just needs to be included in the email generation logic, I can see how this would be valuable enhancement to the lockout notification system.

I’ve added a feature request for this here: https://solidwp.featureos.app/p/include-username-in-ip-based-lockout-email-notifications and I’d recommend dropping a vote and a comment explaining why this is important to you. Our team reviews each request and discusses it, so the more detail you provide, the more helpful it will be in helping us understand how this feature request would benefit you and others.

    I hope this helps!
