    Thank you for your interest in Blackhole for Bad Bots!

    Just a friendly neighborhood reminder about caching:

    If your site is doing any sort of caching DO NOT use this plugin.

    That includes page caching, object caching, script caching, server caching, database caching, image caching, banana caching, or any other type of caching that you can imagine.

    Why? Because caching can prevent dynamic plugins like Blackhole from working correctly. And if the plugin is not working correctly, it can cause problems, especially with search results.

    So PLEASE read, understand, and do not use this plugin on any site that is doing any sort of caching. Super duper important.

    On the other hand, if your site does NOT use any sort of caching, then Blackhole works great and is an excellent way to help stop bad bots.

    So to summarize:

    • Using any sort of cache? DO NOT use Blackhole.
    • Not using any cache? YES you can use Blackhole.
