Image Slider block link target values don’t save on edit

    When editing the Image Slider block (such as adding new slides or changing the order of images), and if the slides have links associated with them, then all the values for link targets for all slides automatically revert to default. To make them open in new windows again, a user has to re-click the “new tab” toggle for every slide.

    This is not ideal. Please have previously chosen link target values remain. It’s very annoying to keep re-entering content for every single slide every time.

    Hello there!

    Sorry to hear you faced such an issue with our Getwid plugin and Image Slider block in particular. 

    However, when I add custom links to the slides in the block in my local environment, they remain the same even if I save changes, close the page, open it for editing again, and edit my slider to add new slides. So may I ask you if the issue is still relevant, please? If yes, may I ask you to provide some details so we can see the full picture and help you? What are the steps we need to take to reproduce the issue on our side? Thanks!

    Thanks for checking – here are the steps to reproduce:

    • Add image to Image Slider block
    • Select “Custom link per slide” in the Image Slider block settings
    • Add URL for image and select “new tab” toggle on
    • Save/Publish, then Refresh your window
    • Select the Image Slider block and click the Edit Icon
    • Add another image, click “Update gallery”
    • See the URL field for the first image is correct, but now the “new tab” is toggled off for that image or any other image that was previously put in and had “new tab” toggled on

    I apologize for such a delayed response. 

    I just like to inform you that I managed to reproduce the issue and already escalated it to our developers. 

    So I hope they address it in one of the upcoming plugin releases. 

    We let you know if we receive any updates on this.
