    Hi,

I am having an issue with a single image manual optimization. At first instance of clicking [Optimize] button, an error appears “The file could not be moved to its final destination.”. On retry, message appears – “WELL DONE. This image is already compressed, no further compression required.”

But there is no compression happened on the image. Imagify tools info screenshot – https://ibb.co/s76zMy2

    Hi @manpreetcing,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I’m sorry you’re having issues with this! These errors commonly occur when your WordPress site root location is not where Imagify expects it to be.

We do have a helper plugin that we’ve developed that can often resolve these errors that you can download and install using the following link:

    https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-helpers/raw/master/various/imagify-custom-site-root/imagify-custom-site-root.zip

Once you have this plugin activated, click “Try Again” for the images and see if the error is resolved. If it’s not, there are a couple of other potential issues that could cause this:

    1) If this is only occurring for certain images, sometimes certain rarely used characters can cause this issue. You could try downloading one of the error images, change the name to something simple like “test.jpg”, re-upload the image, and see if the image is then able to optimize.

    2) It’s also possible this could be an issue with the permissions and/or ownership settings for the following folder locations:

    [wp-site-root]/wp-content/uploads/
    [wp-site-root]/imagify-backup/

These folders (and all within them) should be set to 775 permissions and ownership should be set so PHP is allowed to save files to them. If you’re not sure how to check this or make these changes, you can contact your host for assistance.

I’ll look forward to your response and I’ll be glad to continue assisting however I can!
