Image Header too dark – Voila/Web Development Theme

Friends, the header image I am using on my Contact Us and Disclaimer page is very dark – seems like an overlay or filter has been applied. I’ve searched through this site and applied a number of custom CSS fixes which dont seem to work with my theme. The theme owners site doesnt appear to provide support for their free themes and their general email contact form doesnt appear to be working either.

Hopefully somebody has come across this problem with this theme and can help?
