IE8 issue – page stop working

Hi

I am having issue when i test website in IE8. It seems there is some issue related to method addEventListener:
window.addEventListener(‘orientationchange’, updateOrientation, false);

It writes that object does not allow using this method.

Is there any solution so website can be displayed in IE8 even with this plugin installed?
