HTTPS Switch Lost Twitter/FB Likes

    I just switched my site to HTTPS and in spite of the plugin advert saying that FB likes are preserved, they have not been. Everything is now ZERO.

    It’s not the end of the world, but do I actually need to edit something to get them back?

    After you switch your website to https, you need to enable this feature in plugin’s settings first (check “Keep old Facebook likes” at the bottom of the page).

    As explained on the settings page:

    When you switch to https, counts will show 0 likes at first, but will refresh (return to old) when someone clicks on Like button for the first time. You can also update the counts by using Facebook’s Open Graph Debugger

    OK, got it.

    It seems I left it too long and they have disappeared for good. No matter.

    You can still enable this feature now. It should work anyway.
