OK, it looks like I now have to activate the Rest API for non-administrative users in Perfmatters. Then the error will be gone.
After conducting several tests, I have concluded that the latest updates represent a step backward.
Previously, the lightbox functioned exceptionally well with page caching. Now, an HTTP error occurs after 24 hours.
After clearing the cache, it functions again. However, there are still other new issues that did not exist before.
I have now found another lightbox that works perfectly so far. The good news is that it is even 60% smaller.
For me, it’s important that caching works. If a developer says they don’t support caching, I’m out!
It’s also a shame that support didn’t respond to the latest problems here. That destroys trust. I realize that it’s not easy to provide free support directly. But if the developer says that support for the free version is only available here in the WordPress support forum (as stated on their website), they should check in from time to time.
Nevertheless, I wish the developer every success for the future. Good luck!
Hey @dieter93! 👋
I just replied to your previous message, indeed this seems to be a cache-related issue, and it should be fixed soon, please refer to my previous response.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused once again! 🙇
@valwa, Please do not simply mark the support request as resolved after writing a reply. This is bad practice and does not help anyone – thank you.
