How can I import a custom HTML template into Omnisend if I’m moving over some email designs from Mailchimp? I’ve got a few HTML templates I’d like to reuse rather than rebuild from scratch. Where and how exactly can I upload them in Omnisend?

    Hi @ronanom,

Thanks for asking, reusing your existing HTML templates is straightforward in Omnisend. Here’s how you can bring them in:

Step 1: go to Store settings → Saved templates.

Step 2: On the Saved templates page, you’ll see:

    • A list of all your saved templates. You can copy, preview, and delete a saved template; follow the article to learn more about Copying a Saved template
    • Import template button. Click this button and choose the import option you wish to use.

Option 1: Import the HTML file (useful for Mailchimp users).

If you have an HTML file, click Import HTML → Add your Template name → choose the HTML file you have saved on your computer or downloaded from another provider → click Upload.

If the upload is not successful, you will see an error message. Please choose the correct format, an HTML file, and try to upload it again.

Option 2. Paste in HTML code

If you have code copied, click Paste in code → Add your Template name → paste the Template HTML you have copied → click Import.

You can access your custom HTML template on the Saved templates page and as a saved template in your campaigns and automation.

Importing your templates ensures a seamless start, so you can spend less time rebuilding and more time growing with Omnisend.
