How to speed up REGEX string processing?

    I’m getting a really low score for “REGEX string processing” – 0.55. Is there some way to speed this up?

    It depends on CPU speed and PHP version. I suppose upgrading PHP version is the easiest way to try…

    @galbaras Hi, I just tested 2 shared hosting and got very low score, test lasting up to 54 seconds. But on fast VPS it’s 2.5 seconds. It looks like shared hosting has problem with processing Regex. However, I would argue, that it’s a synthetic test, it may not represent real world scenario how regex is used.

    Is the OS and PHP setup the same in all your tests?

    I have seen, that some CPU tests are really bad with cloudlinux + ALT PHP selector. Once I switched to EA-PHP selector from cPanel – same tests on the same server become fast.. :/
