    Hi Ninja Forms Support,

I am working with Ninja Forms in my WordPress setup and need to dynamically add fields to a form before it is displayed. My goal is to inject a tracker hidden field into the form programmatically if the form is placed in spacific places.

I want to make sure I am using the recommended and future-proof approach.

    I would like to know:

    1. Is there a proper hook/filter available for adding custom fields to a form dynamically (before rendering on the frontend)?

    2. If possible, can you provide an example of the correct way to add a text field (or any field type) programmatically so that it is properly recognized and saved with the form submission?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @faisalahammad ,

Thanks for your response. Just to clarify — I’m not facing an issue with downloading submissions.

What I’m trying to achieve is:

    • Inject a hidden tracker field dynamically into certain Ninja Forms before they are displayed on the frontend.
    • Ensure that this field is properly recognized by Ninja Forms and its value is saved along with the form submission.

I’d like to know if there’s a recommended hook/filter for programmatically adding such a hidden field at render time, and if possible, an example of the correct way to do this.

This would help me add a tracker field in a future-proof way, without modifying the plugin code directly.

    Thanks again for your guidance!

    Best regards,
    Nani

    Hi Nani

This is not something that is a part of our current feature set or out-of-the-box offerings, and would require custom code to accomplish. While custom work is outside the scope of support that we’re able to help with, we can provide some resources that may be of use:

If you’re comfortable writing code yourself, you can find our full library of developer documentation on <u>developer.ninjaforms.com</u>.

If you need or prefer someone to build this for you, we have a partnership with the team at <u>Codeable.io</u>. They have developers with years of experience working with Ninja Forms that can help you make just about anything happen without needing to write a line of code yourself. Reaching out through that link, you can make a request of them directly.

    Thanks

    Mia
