I installed a new theme. I can see my old theme sitting in my theme library. The WP security check-up keeps telling me to delete it since it’s not active. when I try to delete it, wordpress tells me I can’t delete it because it doesn’t exist. There is i guess some ghost remnant of the theme left on the site. How can I get rid of it completely?

Admin –> Appearance –> hover over theme and click Theme Details –> bottom right click Delete.

You can alos login to your control panel –> file manager with your host and delete the folder under /wp-content/themes/

    I’ll try my host.

    Open to other suggestions, too.

Just use the file manager with your host.
    Or ftp even.
