Please import the demo first, then create a child theme and activate the child theme.
You can use a plugin called “Child Theme Configurator” for creating a child theme.

After doing this, the header and footer design is broken and the design is no longer the same as before.
I have attached two screenshots of the problem I am having on my drive. Please see them and you will understand better.
