How do I redirect subdirectory

My wordpress was installed in a sub directory – http://faoblog.com/fao/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/AP-Invoice-Process-Flow1.jpg

Now I have moved it to main domain – http://faoblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/AP-Invoice-Process-Flow1.jpg

How do I redirect part of url from http://faoblog.com/fao/ to http://faoblog.com/

I’m not sure exactly, but that sounds like a job for the Regex option.

Has anyone done this before? I will need to do this very soon and looking for an answer. Any help would be appreciated.

I have not found an answer yet. I tried some redirection plugins, but they did not work for the sub-domain.

I just experimented with the redirection plugin on a subdirectory and redirected to the root directory url and it appears to work just fine…easy and no problems.

Source URL: /subdirectory-url/
Target URL: http://root-directory/new-url-from-subdirectory/

Found that plugin. I have one more challenge. My blog earlier was in a sub-domain http://fao.faoblog.com – I have now moved it to http://faoblog.com
A number of search engines have saved the previous link. I am going bonkers with that.
Can you guide me?

I finally did it, used the https://wordpress.org/plugins/seo-redirection/ plugin. Enabled it on the old site setting up redirection of folder old http://fao.faoblog.com/ to http://faoblog.com/ and enabling it as a wildcard from the dropdown. It worked.
