I’m having a problem with the gallery. The hover effect (zoom in or zoom out) isn’t working, even though I’ve selected it. Everything else (including the lightbox) is working fine. What could be the problem?

    Hey @spontis! 👋

Looking at your page content, it seems the img elements from the gallery have had their “hover” styling stripped. So I wouldn’t be surprised if not only the zoom-in or zoom-out effects aren’t working, but possibly none of the intended animations are.

This behavior likely stems from a third-party plugin — possibly related to image optimization or caching — that dynamically processes media and inadvertently removes essential data required for styling to function properly.

    Hope this helps!

I apologize for bothering you again. I do not have an image optimization plugin or a caching plugin activated. As a test, I disabled a number of other plugins, but this did not have any effect. Surprisingly, the caption effect (caption on hover) from the meow gallery plugin works perfectly. If your assumption is correct, shouldn’t that be missing as well?

Update: I transferred everything to a staging environment, deactivated all plugins (except the Meow plugins), and installed a standard theme. The plugin’s hover effects still don’t work.

    What am I doing wrong?

@valwa : Done some additional Testing. New Domain, fresh WordPress Installation, no Plugins. -> No Hover-Effect. You can see it here: (https://puddlewick.de)

    Hi,

I’ve got the exact same problem. None of the hover effects are working, also in a vanilla environment.
