Hi,

We have a custom plugin that calls the Authorizer ‘authorizer_user_register’ hook, and uses the returned user data to assign WordPress roles to users based on their membership in Active Directory groups. This worked well in the past, but now the do_action for this hook is never called, and I have no idea why. Is this the only way to get that user data from Authorizer?

Authorizer: 3.9.0
WordPress: 6.5.5

So the authorizer_user_register hook will only fire for new users when their WordPress account is created: https://github.com/uhm-coe/authorizer/blob/master/src/authorizer/class-authorization.php#L291-L310

I’d suggest the authorizer_custom_role filter, which has a slightly different form: https://github.com/uhm-coe/authorizer/blob/master/src/authorizer/class-authorization.php#L143-L152

Hi Paul,

Thanks! After more testing, I discovered that my methodology was flawed. I was using a plugin that switches between users, and that doesn’t fire the WP parse_request hook that you use call the Authorization->restrict_access() method. It does work with a new login, however, so whatever problem I’m having is not with Authorizer per se.
