• Dear all,

I’m an absolute beginner. I’d like my website’s (company, static pages, not a blog) homepage to consist of a full-size image, with as little as possible text; I want nothing to disturb the image. A minimal header (menu) and footer are acceptable, but the image should be completely clean.

There are millions of such sites, here’s an example: http://www.ishothim.com. I know that this is a professionally made website, but I’m hoping that a similar effect can be achieved using FREE themes/plugins. I don’t necessarily need the fancy scroll function.

I tested many themes, some of which look like they may potentially do what I want, but I can never get rid of disturbing text overriding the image. For example, the theme SKT Full Width looks promising, but in my hands the image stays covered with sample blog posts etc., despite my tweaking attempts.

And while we’re at it: is it possible to do what asked for, but to make the full-screen image be an image map, with links to pages?

    Thanks in advance!
