hCAPTCHA not working anymore

Hello!

I made a seo check using https://pagespeed.web.dev/ and found this error:
Refused to load the script ‘https://hcaptcha.com/1/api.js?onload=wpformsRecaptchaLoad&render=explicit’ because it violates the fo llowing Content Security Policy directive: …

You can see the error when using chrome browser, Lighthouse, Best Practices, Browser errors were logged to the consonole.

The wpforms form isn’t working anymore. After entering all informations I get the default error of wpfroms settings “error message”. No hcaptcha is displayed.

It worked already but something got wrong. I checked the hcaptcha site key and the security key. The Preview does display the “Ich bin ein Mensch” hcaptcha checkbox.

Update: I’m a little bit muddled, now. I just received an email from some (spam) who was able to enter and send via my contact form with hcaptcha. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, testing it (tested it with firefox, chrome and safari). Happy for all hints.

Hey @cpc6128 – Thanks for reaching out!

I looked into the website, and I was able to replicate the issue wherein the hCaptcha isn’t showing. I looked into the browser console, and I noticed following error message https://a.supportally.com/i/iHQv3e. When you have sometime, can you please check with your hosting provider to see if there’s any security role that’s active that might be causing the issue here?

Or, as an alternative, you can also consider using our reCAPTCHA, or Cloudflare Turnstile integration.

Hello Prashant Rai! Thank you for your help. I made a night shift last night activating the cloudflare captcha, but same problem. I double-checked everything and finally I came to the point like you, that it isn’t a problem of the wpforms plugin but something blocks the communication to the captchas. After several hours of trying to fix it I came to the point that until now I just received spam through the contact plugin. So I throw the complete form out of the site. Usually that’s not my way of problem-solving, but I don’t want to check every week, if the form works, or not.
