good but dissapears with phone in landscape view

    Really like the call now button and Ive got another free button app (for email) but if I put the phone on it’s side (landscape) the call now button is nowhere to be seen, unlike the email button that manages to stick around. I sent my question to the makers but no reply sadly. For this reason i give 3 stars but am still grateful for it. 🙂

    Hi Sean,

    Thanks for your feedback. Apologies for missing your message. My son was just born and I’ve been adjusting to a new live. It’s true that the Call Now Button doesn’t appear in landscape mode. This has been a conscious choice for a couple of reasons, the main ones being:

    • In horizontal mode the screen height gets quite limited and having anything hovering over the content becomes a lot more annoying.
    • It requires a lot more code (at the cost of performance) to determine that a website is being viewed on a mobile screen in landscape mode. Portrait mode is fairly easy to detect based on screen size, but smartphones nowadays are becoming so tall that pixel counts are matching that of laptop/computer screens. I don’t want the button to start having an impact on the performance scores.

    After reading the response, I think this is the first time I’ve actually agreed with the programmers saying “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature” – Love the plugin 😉
