• Dear support team,

GiveWP tech support redirected us to this forum and I hope you can help with an issue we have?

The GiveWP donation forms do not work on page with cache enabled. We can not whitelist all pages with donation forms, nor do we want to disable WP Fastest Cache.

They suggested can we can try to whitelist GiveWP files only. Everything that we would need to whitelist is inside the following folders:

    – wp-content/plugins/give – the main GiveWP folder
    – wp-content/plugins/give-* – an alias for all the folders for our add-ons

Does WP Fastest Cache have an option for that?
Or do you maybe have other solutions?

There must be hundreds of users out there that encounter the same issues.

    Many thanks,
    Terry

is the problem solved after you clear all cache?

Thank you, Emre. Unfortunately not, we tried that too. The donation forms work until the last step and then a green circle will spin forever without progressing to the payment screen.

    Hi there,

Speaking from the GiveWP side of things, we don’t generally say to whitelist the plugin files themselves, but instead the pages where you are using the donation forms.

You need to make sure that all the pages related to GiveWP are whitelisted from your cache systems (it depends on the service you are using: a plugin or server). The URL includes any page with a donation form on it and/or the donation form URL itself:
    the /donation-confirmation/ page
    the /donation-failed/ page
    the /donation-history/ page
    the /recurring-donations/ page (if applicable)

    Thank you Emre and Matt,

We received the advice to whitelist web pages with a GiveWP donation form, but while this may solve the issue for a single page, we have donation forms on our home page and every project page.

What you are asking is to whitelist our entire website. Then there is no point to have a cache plugin? Unless you are saying cache plugins have no function?

Is there a better solution? There must be hundreds out there with the same problem?

    Thanks,
    Terry

this is not an issue between GiveWP and WP Fastest Cache. this is not an issue between GiveWP and the cache plugins so GiveWP should find a solution.

HI @terry21 We’re happy to continue to support you.

Can you point me to where you were first advised by us? Was that in our Priority Support or on our free support forum? We can continue the conversation over there.

There are 2 issues about the forms.

    1. WP_NONCE system cause the issue. The issue occurs 10 hours after clearing cache. The solution is as below.
    https://www.wpfastestcache.com/tutorial/wordpress-nonce-cache/

    2. The issue occurs as soon as the plugin is activated. There is no solution about it.

    Hi Matt and Emre,

Thanks very much, we appreciate your help.

@matt Matheus at Priority Support asked us to post the question about whitelisting GiveWP files in cache plugins, in the hope there is a way to do that without white listing webpages.

I hope there is a solution? We don’t want to choose between cache or a donation form – we need both πŸ˜‰
    Many thanks and happy Easter,
    Terry

@terry21 , can you disable all the checkboxes except the “Cache System” option and clear all cache please?
