    Dear Guido et al.,

    Can I use a .gif file as a logo? And if so, how can I ensure the .gif file will keep moving (turning in my case).

    Hi,

    My logo section uses the default WordPress upload feature and as far as I know it also accepts gif images.

    Hi Guido,

    Yes, the logo section does accept .gif files without a problem. However, the animation is not repeating. In my particular case, I have a .gif file of a globe, that I would like to keep turning. Hope this explanation is clear 🙂 If not, please do tell.

    Is there any way to keep the globe turning? Now it only turns for a few seconds, and then stands still.

    Please let me know.

    Hi,

    The only thing I find on the net is you should never crop a gif image, upon uploading. That way you change the gif into a regular image. But while uploading a logo for my theme, there’s no cropping… so I don’t know why your gif isn’t working properly.
