I cant seem to find a solution to a generateblocks when im tryna liek duplicate a block or copy paste it the id of that duplicated or copied block stays the same as the original block, is there a way to duplicate a block that has a unique id, Using free generateblocks.
Okay!!!!! I found a solution, and might have found a bug or something i dont know, but the thing is that when im using a child theme, the unique ids dont generate on duplicate or copypasted blocks, but!!!!! When im building on an actual theme not the child, all the ids are unique on every single block that was duplicated or copied, so its either a bug from generateblocks or im creating child themes wrong.
UPDATE, ive reinstalled wordpress, made a child theme again, everything worked just fine even on child theme, but after some time i took a break like 3 hours came back to wordpress and again the same problem occures now, just every time i duplicate a block the id does not get regenerated, stays the same as the original blocks, that definately must be a bug, to the point where i cant rly relie on this plugin no more.

It might be related to custom functions in your child theme.
You can try removing all the custom functions from the child theme, if that works, then add them back one at a time to see which one is causing the issue.
Sadly there is no functions.php on child theme previously i made child theme myself now i use the wordpress plugin for creating a child theme those are the files everything worked great untill i came back after some time to the project which is literaly empty just testing out some things with block editor and noticed that again ids are doubling like it just refuses to generate new ids.

I was using 2025 theme btw.
cause i only use fse themes like 2025 theme so everything ive tried after it glitched up its impossible to make it work no matter how many times i reinstalled 2025 theme or how many times i made a child for it just with my own hads just placing style.css and
just nothing works, but on the other hand just now i installed generateblocks made a child theme for it just now and it seems that the child theme for generateblocks works now it generates new ids for every duplication. Its strange cause in the very beginning when i posted this post it didnt work on a single child theme generatepress included but now it got glitched only for 2025theme and generatepress theme now child works without any problems. I know its hard to tell whats the problem but trust me i didnt touch no files, nothing, besides creating style.css and paste what ive just showed u.
the problem aswell cannot be with my local machine cause now im testing the issue on my own pc but i had a project for a customer their files were on several hostinger hosts and all of those hosts sufferend from the same glitch none of the projects could generate unique ids when duplicated so i just finished the project doign every single element wihtout copying nothing. The project was done in 2024 child theme.
I just created a child theme for WP twenty twenty five theme on my install, and set the PHP version to 8.4.4, I then tested the duplication process, and it had no issue to generate new IDs, so the issue is not related to the use of a child theme or the PHP version.
I can not replicate the issue on my end, it’s impossible for me to tell the cause if I can not see and inspect the issue, unfortunately.

Ying i rly appreciate ur time wasted, but ill try to learn how theme can be related to this issue on my end, ill try maybe to reset database or something, cause now all the themes with child themes work except the one with 2025 theme child dont work no matter if i reinstall the theme or anything. So if i find a solution ill message it here maybe u will be able to replicate it if not then idk im lost, i would beleive it could have been my pc problem but if that happened with a few sites of my clients with different hosts i doubt its my pc, but if the glitch persists on a specific theme and no uninstalling no nothing helps no more just creating a new wordpress from scratch, i have a feeling that something a block or something i do on gutenberg that gets saved to database messes up with generateblocks or something and that specirfic theme dont let the generateblocks generate new ids or something i rly have no clue haha, at this point im lost, so i guess u can close the topic cause i know that probably u wont be able to replicate it strangely or u can try to wait a bit i might actualy find a solution how to replicate it.
I rly dont know how generateblocks work, how the code works or if it has something to do with database but ill try to learn what files theme installs are there any elft overs and it dont completely uninstall themes and how generateblocks work in general.
okay i found a way to replicate it, first u install fresh wordpress, then go straight to plugins install “generateblocks” and “create block theme”, with it create a child theme or just manualy and activate the child theme of 2025 press customize and then in search bar above go to page, u can create ur own new page or jsut go to sample page and try to add a button block or any block and u will see it just dont regenerate. With those steps i consistantly on every new fresh wordpress install can replicate the glitch.
Yep somehow when u edit the 2025 template itself when u press customize in the theme and directly editing the the 2025 template the regenerate on duplicate works but when u enter a page thats it, it breaks.
and small note that database as of my testing had no effect on anything, but the funniest part is that for my customers i was using 2024 them child that in the beggining worked fine the id regeneration on dupe but during the project it failed, but atleast with this 2025 theme i can consistantly make it glitch. But dont forget im on free generateblocks.
