    Hi, we are using your plugin in out site, the lite version, and, we have the need to accomplish with the new GDPR… so, as you should know, collect data before the explicit consent of the user will be not permitted… so, we should put a message in our web, befor the email field of the checkout page and advise the customer… are you going to add a new GDPR feature to your abandoned cart plugin?

    Hi Angelo,

    Thank you for your information and suggestion.

    We will have to coordinate with the GDPR by signing a contract that specifies how they will process and transfer this data. We have not decided when we will add a new feature in our plugin with the GDPR compliance. I will discuss about this with Vishal ( Founder of Tyche Softwares ) and the team and more analyze that how we can comply our plugin with GDPR.

    I will get back to you with an update.

    Ideally would be great to have a consent checkbox in the cart that is not pre-filled and gives consent for abandoned cart emails.

    Or as a first step a way to disable the abandoned cart emails based on a user meta field that we can control / populate based on our own consent UI.

    Hi Ian,

    Thank you for your information.

    We are thinking to add a privacy consent as a note on Email Address field on Checkout page where we are tracking the data.

    We will have to more analyze on this and then we can decide where we should add consent note or consent checkbox in the cart and how we can comply with the GDPR.

    I look forward to this update, in our shop we always require customer registration during purchase.
    It would be interesting to keep track only of those who explicitly gave consent.

    Hi,

    I’m also checking if this feature has been implemented yet.

    I just installed the plugin and saw that right now it is possible to add text to give the customer a notice, but there’s no option for a checkbox to give the customer the chance to consent to getting an email and being tracked.

    Without that consent it is not conform with the GDPR. A simple notice is not enough.

    Do you have plans to implement a checkbox?
