Frontend output reason?

    Why would the plugin output the following inline JS and loads an empty JS file?

    <script id='image-sizes-js-extra'>
var THUMBPRESS = {"version":"3.6.1","disables":["...]};
</script>
<script src='.../wp-content/plugins/image-sizes/assets/js/front.js' defer onload='' id='image-sizes-js'></script>

    ThumbPress latest version(4.0.2) has been released. Please update the plugin to the latest version. Hope this will resolve the previous issue.

    Please don’t forget to take a backup before updating the plugin.
