• As others have said, the fact that the plugin gives you zero information on what malware was found is useless. Just trying to hold your site random for you to pay for their services. There is no way for you to know if the malware is real without paying.

    It doesn’t matter that the website lists that these additional features are behind a paywall. It doesn’t matter that this is technically in writing somewhere.

    This practice is anti-consumer at its finest. It’s like a doctor advertising “free checkup!” and at the end of your appointment they say “Yep, there is definitely something wrong with you!” and show you the door.

    Technically not false advertising. But also technically not a help to you.

    We do very clearly mention on our WordPress repository page that our malware cleanup option is a paid feature while the free version of MalCare has Scanning, Firewall & Login-Protection. This is mentioned in our Video on Free vs Paid and in a section of MalCare’s FREE Services

    I’ll take this feedback to our team to make it more prominent so avoid such confusion in the future.
