Forms do not migrate with site data

    I am developing a site locally and using Forminator to create the forms. These are working great, but every time i push the locally developed site to a staging environment one or more forms fail to migrate along with it. I am having to use the export/import feature but this doesn’t retain any of the 3rd-party integrations I have set up.

    Some of the forms do migrate properly, so I can see this is supposed to work. How can I make the process more reliable? It’s currently really slowing down the workflow.

    Hi @flatpack-music

    I hope you are doing good today.

    That sounds really weird. Does apart from the issue with Forminator data, are there any other anomalies, like the missing posts, pages, images? I ask because there could be some timeout issues during push from local to staging or maybe connection issues.

    Also, could you let us know what is the process/plugin behind the migration/pushing steps?

    hey kris,

    i’m not seeing any other missing data of any kind i’m afraid., it’s very odd.

    i’m migrating manually – copying files over via FTP and overwriting the database via phpmyadmin.

    i should add that i’ve upgraeded to pro to get this sorted so i’ve got the team there working on this with me, but i’m happy to keep this thread going in case it’s of use to anyone else seeing this issue.

    Thank you for the update.

    I tried to import on my website and had no issue, could you let us know the number of forms you have and we can try to replicate?

    You can also export and import the missing form using the plugin interface:

    thanks patrick,

    i have 3 forms on the go (staged here).

    i am using the import/export method to patch this issue already but it’s pretty inconvenient since the import/export feature doesn’t copy any of the integration mapping so it needs to be redone by hand each time.

    If you have now Pro version, let’s solve this with the paid support. When the issue is solved we can update this ticket with a solution.
