• Hi, creating a reservation form I noticed an issue with the Number input field. When I set the min and max number in the block options, it works fine on the front-end but… The do not “stick” after editing the same page and form at a later date.

To reproduce: Create a fresh page, add a Jetpack (contact) form and add a Number input field. Give that field a min and max number. Then save and close the editor.

Test the front end: the min and max values work as expected.

Now reopen the page for editing, add some text in a paragraphe or change something else unrelated to the Number input field and save the page again.

Then test the front end form again: The min and max numbers are no longer applied.

    Hi Rolf,

Sebastian here, I hope you are doing well.

I understand that the min and max values you set on the Number Input Field in the Jetpack Form block are being lost after you re-edit and save the page, even when you have not made any changes to the number field itself. That is certainly frustrating, especially when you are working on something like a reservation form where those limits are important.

I was able to confirm that this is a bug on our end. After setting min and max values on the Number Input Field, saving the page, and then re-opening the editor to make an unrelated edit, those values are no longer applied on the front end.

I have reported this issue to our development team so they can investigate and work on a fix.

Thank you for taking the time to report this. Your detailed reproduction steps are very helpful.

We’ll get back to you when we know more.

    Hi @ravanh

A fix for this will be included in the next version of Jetpack:

    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/pull/47511

Since this will be fixed in the next version, I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. As always, feel free to open a new thread if anything else comes up.
