Upon submission of the form visitor to website gets the following error:

ERROR: Sorry, there was an error. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser and try again.

Even enabling the settings mentioned above does not fix the problem. Even if fixing the settings did work, it is very hard to expect every user to be computer savvy enough to make the changes in the settings.

Thank you for your prompt answer.

    Hello @felgcastro!

Thank you for posting about this issue!

This error is usually triggered by WP SpamShield plugin. Could you please check if it is installed to your website?

In case you are not using WP SpamShield, please deactivate it. Alternatively, you can contact the support team of the plugin and ask them to take a look.

    Thanks! Have a great day!

    Hi @felgcastro and @formmakersupport,

Step 9 in our Troubleshooting Guide covers this specific issue, and gives the steps to resolve it:

One or more users on your site consistently receive a JavaScript and cookies related error message similar to this: “Sorry, there was an error. Please enable JavaScript and Cookies in your browser and try again.” (For comments, registrations, contact forms, or anything else.)

If that doesn’t resolve the issue for you, please submit a support request, and we’ll be happy to help you quickly resolve the issue.

    Hey @redsand!

Thank you so much for your useful notes!

One of our users also pointed, that enabling Disable anti-spam for miscellaneous forms option in WP SpamShield settings solves this problem.

@felgcastro, could you please try this? Let us know if it works.
    Have a wonderful weekend, guys!
