Hello,

I am using the RegistrationMagic plugin and have enabled reCAPTCHA only on the registration page. However, when I send the password reset email from this page:
👉 https://remainsoftware.com/user/password/

The system shows this error:
“The reCAPTCHA response provided was incorrect. Please re-try.”

The issue is that I have not enabled reCAPTCHA on the Lost Password form, but it still checks for reCAPTCHA and fails.

For testing, I tried sending the password reset email to: [email protected], and the same error occurred.

Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can solve this issue?

Hi @gauravsingh12,

Enabling reCAPTCHA from the “Global Settings” also enables it for the password recovery form. This helps prevent spam password recovery requests. Could you please let us know if you have enabled reCAPTCHA v2 or v3 from the “Global Settings”?

Hello Support

I have enabled the reCAPTCHA v2 from the “Global Settings”. But as you can see that there is not reCaptcha box on this page https://remainsoftware.com/user/password
Why is it required reCaptcha even there is no reCaptcha?

Hi @gauravsingh12,

Thanks for sharing the details. We can see that the reCAPTCHA field is present in the page code, but it’s not displaying for user validation. To help us narrow down the cause, could you please recheck this after temporarily deactivating all other plugins? This will confirm whether the issue is due to a conflict with another plugin or not.

We also tested this functionality on our server, and the reCAPTCHA is appearing and working correctly here.
