I’m having a similar issue with a client. The Elementor form wasn’t sending emails so implemented FluentSMTP, after setting up MS365 integration, the first two emails sent then I tested later in the day and receive error 422 “unauthorized”. I will try to reauthenticate the MS365 account and update this.
Hello @lee-chilli and @jdunlopdesign,
You’re absolutely right to assume that {"code": 422, "message": "Forbidden", "errors": null} is what Microsoft is returning to you. We have indeed received a few reports with similar 422 messages from other users. Our investigations into these cases across various environments have revealed that while the error message itself appears consistent, the underlying cause is often quite different for each customer’s specific setup. This means that a solution that worked for one customer might not directly apply to another, making a thorough, environment-specific investigation crucial for an accurate diagnosis.
To help you get to the bottom of this and ensure your emails are sending smoothly with FluentSMTP, we’ll need to dive a bit deeper into your specific website and environment details. This will allow our experts to pinpoint the exact reason for the 422 error in your particular case.
Please create a support ticket by providing the necessary details on the WPManageNinja Support Portal, and our experts will be happy to assist you further with your specific use case.
Thank you.
