Hi @cmerrick ,
Are you using Ajax pagination here? I have tested this problem but couldn’t create the issue. See it here: Video. Can you try to deactivate all of your plugins and activate them one by one to see if there is any plugin conflict?
Let me know your thoughts.
Hello @cmerrick ,
Do you still face the issue? We are waiting for your response. Could you please check the video we attached before.
Thanks.
Hey, sorry for the delay. The video skips a step — I would go to an individual post, then use the back button — but the problem also exists on Firefox just on the paginated Posts page.
I did narrow it down to a potential plugin conflict with one of several plugins. For reasons specific to our installation though, it will be very difficult for me to narrow it down further than that, so instead I just turned off Ajax pagination; pagination with reload works fine.
I can’t be sure but I suspect one of our Pro plugins is the culprit, because I added all the free plugins to a second installation and didn’t get the Firefox issue. The Pro plugins I haven’t fully tested against are:
- Gravity forms pro with Constant Contact and reCAPTCHA extensions
- Modula Gallery Pro with Video extension
- Smush Pro
But there’s another dozen or so plugins, or a combination of plugins, that I can’t rule out.
Thanks for your response, but I think for now we’re just going to stick with regular pagination.
Hello @cmerrick,
We found your issue. When you use ajax pagination and go to a specific blog post from any page and come back, then the main page gets reloaded. That’s why every time you are redirected to the first page.
There is an option to turn off ajax pagination in block settings. By turning it off you will get your desired output.
Thanks.
Hi Anik,
That’s not really true though. If I go to a specific blog post in Chrome or Safari, using the back button takes me to whatever paginated spot I was in before, not necessarily the first page of paginated posts. It’s only on Firefox that I always return to the first page.
I did turn off Ajax pagination, but if Firefox worked the same as Chrome, it would work perfectly.
Hi,
Our team couldn’t generate the issue in Firefox. It is behaving exactly the same as chrome so you might be facing this issue because of any third-party plugin.
