• I am receiving Wordfence errors on this plugin indicating that the version I have is different than the WordPress version on multiple websites:

Details: This file belongs to plugin “Shortcodes Ultimate” version “5.0.4” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by WordPress.org for this version. Please use the link to see how the file has changed. If you have modified this file yourself, you can safely ignore this warning.

Have you changed the source code? If so, shouldn’t here be a version upgrade ?

If it were just one website I would be looking for a hack, but I manage a dozen and most of them use this plugin.

  • I’ve also received a Wordfence Warning of changes for the following files:

    wp-content/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/inc/core/tools.php
    wp-content/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/includes/filters.php

WARNING: This file belongs to plugin “Shortcodes Ultimate” version “5.0.4” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by WordPress.org for this version. If you see a lot of changed files in a plugin that have been made by the author, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin to force an upgrade. Doing this is a workaround for plugin authors who don’t manage their code correctly. Would you please let us know if these files are secure ASAP?

This is a great plugin BTW. Your hard work is appreciated.

    TIA

    Hi,

I have the same wordfence errors:
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/inc/core/tools.php
    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/includes/filters.php

Would love to know if there is anything of concern.

    Thanks,
    Daphne
