    First, let me thank you for this excellent plugin. It’s almost perfect for my needs.

    Is there any chance you could make it also set the Post’s “featured image” to be the same one downloaded for the content?

    Hi,

    Nothing is downloaded per se. The image in the post is still linked to the origin server.

    As the original image is likely licenced to or copyrighted by the original site I wouldn’t download it. However, I’ve seem other plugins which allow you to do this if you wish.

    In terms of displaying the linked image on, for example, an index page, you could modify your template to parse the post content for images if there is no featured image set. I did this a couple of site template versions ago, but haven’t got it on my current template.
