    I got that error:
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 70 of the file /home/d0o23l3vjg45/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/wp-contact-form-7.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/d0o23l3vjg45/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php72/usr/share/pear’).

If I inactive plugin and website is working but I do need the contact form.

    1. Anyone knows how to fix that issue?

    2. If I delete contact form plugin than upload again it saves my old forms?

    Thanks

  • Hello @frogger,

I will try to answer your two doubts and hope with it, you can solve the problem:

    1. It is possible that one of the files in the plugin is corrupt. My recommendation is that you try to reinstall the plugin manually from the Plugins panel. Please DO NOT REMOVE THE CURRENT CONTACT FORM 7 INSTALLATION, just disable it, otherwise you will lose your forms. To make a manual reinstallation of CF7:

    a. Download the plugin zip file from Contact Form 7 plugin page.
    b. Go to your Dashboard > Plugins > Add new > Upload Plugin y select the file you downloaded in the step above. Then, click the button Install now.
    c. You should see a message telling you that “This plugin is already installed.“. Click the button Replace current with uploaded to complete the reinstallation of CF7. Then, click the button Activate Plugin and check if your form is working.

    2. If you delete Contact Form 7 from Dasboard > Plugins, you will lose all your forms, as CF7 runs a cleanup of their data in the database. Please do not do this if you do not want to lose your forms.

    Best regards,
    Yordan.
