    Hey there Mariko!

    Thank you very much for providing a link to the website!

    Until yesterday, I didn’t have any problem with Jetpack boost. But somehow, I saw the following error. I tried several in the afternoon, in the evening and at night today but got the same error.

    Do you remember making any changes to the website? Like adding more posts than usual or something?

    Failed to generate Critical CSS

    Can you provide a screenshot of the dashboard when you get the error? There should be some text below the error telling you why it occurred.

    Could you help me to find what’s wrong and how to fix it?

    Also – can open the browser console and then try generating critical css again? There might be some errors in there that could point to a solution!

    I didn’t change contents but I just updated the WP setting to use SSL yesterday as per my website host service provider.
    “Go to Tools, select Site Health, and click the button of “Site does not use HTTPS”.
    Now it shows “The site is using a valid HTTPS connection”.

    Also updated the URL part from
    “http://cafeko.net/blog/“

    Please find attached. It’s in Japanese. The error message is in English is this.
    “Critical CSS generation failed An unexpected error has occurred. This error may be temporary, so try updating your Critical CSS.”

    Anything you need to check, please let me know.

    Thank you very much for the information! This looks like a bug in Jetpack Boost.

    It seems it was working and then all of a sudden it stopped. I’m unsure of the reason yet.

    Could you contact us via this page? I would like to continue the investigation there and I might need more information. Make sure to include a link to this thread!

    The issue was solved by disabling WAF(Web Application Firewall) in the hosting service control panel.
