Facebook Social Login Avatar not coming through in messages

Hi,

I am using buddyboss-platform plugin which is a fork of buddypress. When i login using facebook, in public profile page, the avatar is showing correctly (parsed from facebook profile photo). But in the private message page, it shows default avatar, not the avatar parsed from facebook.

If i use Buddypress with a wp default theme, the issue persists as well.
