External object cache not in use – Now what?

    QM is showing:

    Object Cache
    95.5% hit rate (17,407 hits, 829 misses)
    External object cache not in use.

    So what do I need to do to fix this, or can I ignore it?

    I’m sorry this isn’t as clear as it could be, I’m planning on improving the wording here in a future version of QM.

    This message is somewhere halfway between informational and a warning. You really ought to have an object cache in place as it’ll greatly increase the performance of your site, and you can do this by speaking with your hosting provider to find out which persistent object caches they support (for example Memcached, APC, or Redis) and then installing a plugin which supports it.

    So having Litespeed (plugin and on server) & Cloudflare isn’t enough?

    Hi,

    Same for me i have wprocket for cache and Cloudflare but no object cache. So i ask the same question than Forest Skills 🙂

    I asked my host about this and they said it’s already enabled. So how do I use it on my site? Do I need to use a plugin?
