• Hello!

I’m testing your plugin and it really seems to me to be very good, so congratulations on that. I am using in conjunction with Varnish in my tests and is going well. I wonder if it is possible to delete some pages from the cache and how it should be done. Thanks!

    Thank you.
You mean prevent some pages from being cached?
Using some type of exclude would slow down things and is not very fault tolerant, but what do you think about? Specific post IDs or exclude path?

How did you configure Varnish to prevent stale cache?

    Hi there!

I have a dynamic wishlist page that would like to remove and secure cart, checkout and my account out too. Varnish I’m using through the CloudPanel panel, just activated it and excluded the same pages. In this case, a field to put something type /account/* or /cart/ for exemple would be great. It´s plugin was the only one that worked truly fast in conjunction with Varnish, but I faced this difficulty.

    Thanks for the quick answer!

You tried other plugins but mega-cache was the only one that worked?
Are you using woo or some other ecommerce?

woo cart, shop and account are excluded automatically if you enable the woo option in mega-cache, but that is a PRO feature.

    what do you mean, whishlist?

Ah, ok, yes, i´m using woo, because the feature really didn’t work for. I understood now.
Wishlist is a page where people put products with the intention of buying them later. But anyway your plugin will only serve me in the pro version, so this test was enough to understand the operation. How to buy the Pro version? I will better evaluate this!

    Thank you very much!!

See, page caching is a complex issue. the plugin needs to check the woo specific IDs (shop, cart etc.), excluding URLs makes no sense, because the permalink of woo pages changes with other languages. Therefore the IDs must be checked.

However mega-cache checks those IDs in PRO version only.
In other words, your change request to exclude URLs is “obsolete” by the time you use the PRO version.

if you explain wishlist in more detail i can check if i can make that part of the woo IDs.

For PRO version, just click the link in the upper right corner, you will be guided the our license page.

Which wishlist plugin do you use?

    (@leodefaveri)

Ok, I understand your questions perfectly and thank you for the explanation. Wishlist is a dynamic page on most ecommerce themes. I am using for example Woodmart and so you click a heart to add this product to a list belonging to the user. There are plugins, but in Woodmart this feature is native. Usually we delete this page from the traditional cache plugins so as not to stor other users

Are you familiar with WP options table? Can you find an option that relates to Woodmart wishlist page ID ?
For woo, it is “wc_wishlist_page_id” for example.

I have just included some wishlist checks, and will be effective with next version of MC.
So all your wishes are fullfilled. 😉

Wow! You are fast! Here in wp-options is wp_woodmart_wishlists. I believe it is different for themes and plugins
