Events Manager

I just want to use a few basic features of Event Manager but cannot work out how to get the items I want displayed.

All I want at the moment is to create events in the back end and have them appear on one of the blocks of my page. All events will be online (so Zoom / Webinar) so I don’t need location. I like the way EM presents the events and search list results and want to use the [event_search_form] shortcode.

However, I cannot find out how to turn the location OFF or get it to open by default in List or Grid mode without having to click ‘search’

Is this possible? If so how do I do it?
