    Hi team,

    When I install Woccomerce on a blank WordPress site (with no other plugins installed),I immediately see this error appear in the front-end, at the bottom of the page after the footer (OceanWP) :

    Deprecated: wp_enqueue_script is called with an argument that has been obsolete since version 10.3.0! Please use the new pseudo wc-flexslider à la place du précédent flexslider. in ********/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121

    ► And in some pages of the administration interface like Updraft Plus (wifth OceanWP or Storefront) :

    Deprecated: wp_enqueue_script is called with an argument that has been obsolete since version 10.3.0! Please use the new pseudo wc-jquery-blockui instead of the previous jquery-blockui. in ********/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121

    Deprecated: wp_enqueue_script is called with an argument that has been obsolete since version 10.3.0! Please use the new pseudo wc-select2 instead of the previous select2. in ********/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121

    If I deactivate Woocommerce, I no longer have them.

  • Hi @thomhsb ,
    It’s a deprecated warning. Did you update all the plugins theme into latest version?
    You can temporarily turn off debug error from wp-config.php (above “That’s all”) file by adding this line:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);

    Hi @thomhsb,

    Thank you for reaching out and for bringing this to our attention. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter errors like this, especially when they appear on the front end of your website.

    This is a known issue, and a fix along with a pull request has already been submitted here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/61474. The correction is scheduled to be included in the upcoming WooCommerce 10.4.0 release.

    In the meantime, you can temporarily hide the error by adding the following lines to your wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

    Thank you for your patience while we await the release containing the fix. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

    Hi @mosesmedh & @shsajalchowdhury,

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    I’m familiar with the principle (define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false); define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false);) but we prefer to leave them set to “true” so that we always know what’s going on.

    I know they’re just minor alerts; but they fill up the log files every day 😉

    I’ll be waiting for the next version with no problem, it’s reassuring to know that the cause is known and is being corrected.

    Good luck to the whole team and congratulations again on this incredible plugin.
