Error with overall rating

    Hi,
    I’ve set up YASR on an about page with [yasr_visitor_votes size=”medium”] shortcode.

    I set up the homepage with the [yasr_overall_rating] shortcode.
    I’ve got this error on google for the homepage: Rating is missing required best and/or worst values

    On the about page the rating value and rating count is displayed correctly according to google but on the homepage there is an error.
    If you check on the site homepage this is the value the plugin puts out:
    ratingValue”:”5.1″

    I use w3 caching plugin. I’m also testing another rating plugin on the site not sure if any of those affects the plugin.

    Hello!

    If you try to disable the other rating plugin you will see that it’s the culprit.
    YASR use the “bestRating” value indeed (here and here the code)

    Try to disable the other one and let me know 🙂

    Hi,
    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

    I’ve disabled the other plugins and cleared the cache. I also opened a new private window but there is no change. I still thet the 5.1 rating on the homepage.

    Can you try to save the vote again?

    There is a check that if rating is > 5 it should be saved as 5, so it’s really strange 🤔

    I gave a 3star and a 5 star on the about page but nothing has changed on the main page.

    Yes, I deleted a cache, disabled the plugin then enabled the plugin then opened a new private window. On the about page it’s working but on the homepage the overall rating doesn’t.

    This is really strange.

    Does the home page is a static page?
    Did you set the postid parameter?

    I use wordpress with a plugin to show the photos. I don’t think it’s a static page. I use w3 cache plugin but disabling didn’t have any effect. Gzip is also enabled on cPanel.
    I did not set postid parameter. Should I? How can I?
    I use [yasr_overall_rating] on the homepage and this:
    [yasr_visitor_votes size=”medium”]
    on the about page.

    You should use the postid parameter if you want to show rating from another post or page.

    If you edit your homepage, then give a different vote and then save the page, can you see in the backend the new rating?
