Error with Home Page Images

Hey all!
About two months ago, I got tasked with overseeing this website — make sure everything is up and update a few contents from the home page here and there. Recently, I updated two information boxes and also updated their images. However, the images don’t show up. From what I know, we are using the the free version of the ACF plugin, the images are in the Image Library, and the ACF image sections are set up so that the Return Format is an Image URL, with choice to All the images up in the Library.
Checking the Chrome and Firefox console, I saw that both image boxes (the ones not currently showing up on the website) output an img src of just numbers each. (e.g. the outerHTML of one reads <img src = “3918” …> when it should be https://phacon.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/individual.jpg
I am currently learning how to properly manage the website, and was wondering if you guys might direct me to a possible solution.

The project uses a custom theme. This also controls how images are displayed. Unfortunately, without knowing the theme, it is impossible to determine why incorrect data is occasionally displayed.
I see the following options for you:
- Take a look at the source code of the theme yourself. You should be able to find the reason quickly.
- Publish the source code of the theme so that someone can take a look at it. You can do this via GitHub, for example.
