I also had this message on all my websites. It was necessary to activate it again. I suspect that the file name of the plugin file was changed during the last update and this was not correctly taken into the update.
Does it not work to start the plugin manually?

I also got this error. I uninstalled and did a fresh install of the plugin.
I am now seeing this error in my browser

I have done this and the plugin is working. The message still remains on the plugins page

@awr10e Could it be that you are using some special setup/plugin/theme/service that keeps trying to enable the plugin?
