@esaenz28 Thanks for reporting the issue with the Templates popup.
From your description, this looks like a conflict with ElementsKit Lite.
Please try the following:
- Deactivate all third-party plugins except Elementor (Core).
- Clear any caches and test the Templates popup again.
- If it works, reactivate your plugins one by one to find the conflicting one (likely ElementsKit Lite).
Please note that we cannot troubleshoot third-party plugins or themes directly, since we do not maintain them and cannot guarantee full compatibility with Elementor.
If this is the issue, I recommend contacting the ElementsKit Lite support team with the conflict details so they can provide a fix. If the issue persists after you rule out plugin conflicts, let me know, and please provide a URL, and I will take another look.
Hi @sve01 . Thanks for responding to the post. I have deactivated all the plugins you recommended (except Elementor). I have clicked on the icon to import template (modal window) and again it shows the JS error checklist.min.js:

Hello there,
Thank you for being so patient,
My recommendation is to first temporarily switch the site to the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme to rule out a theme-related script conflict.
If the issue remains, the next step is to reset Elementor’s state by regenerating files, syncing the library, and reinstalling Elementor. It’s also worth disabling experimental features under Elementor → Settings → Features, as some of them can affect the editor UI.
Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards,
Hi @miloss84
Following your recommendation, I temporarily switched my website to the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme to rule out a theme-related script conflict.
After making the change, the JS file error persists:
web-cli.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3 TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘parentElement’) at ToggleIcon.apply (checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:47777) at ToggleIcon.run (web-cli.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:147151) at Commands.runInstance (web-cli.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:27842) at Commands.run (web-cli.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:27684) at checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:50103 at checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:33956 at Generator.<anonymous> (checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:3766) at Generator.next (checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:48267) at asyncGeneratorStep (checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:39345) at _next (checklist.min.js?ver=3.31.5:3:39577)
Best regards.

Hi @aracelil
I followed your instructions to roll back the Elementor plugin version, cleared the browser cache, and resynced the library.
But the JS error continues to appear, and when I click the icon to add a new template, the modal window appears and disappears immediately.
Best regards.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for sharing the video, it really helps to see what’s going on.
It looks like the UI is trying to change an icon inside the Checklist module, but that element in the DOM is already gone (its parentElement is null). Because of that, an error pops up and breaks the modal, which is why the “Add Templates” window just flashes and disappears.
Here are a few things you can try:
- Deactivate ElementsKit plugins also.
- Reinstall Elementor from the official WordPress repository.
- Reinstall WordPress to make sure all core files are clean.
- After that, try importing a template again.
Let us know if this fixes it.
Cheers!

Hello @miloss84 ,
I followed all the steps you suggested:
- Deactivated the ElementsKit plugins.
- Reinstalled Elementor from the official WordPress repository.
- Reinstalled WordPress to ensure the core files are clean.
After that, I tried importing a template again, but the problem still persists.
I should also mention that I am currently using a free hosting service called InfinityFree.
Could this be related to the issue?
Thank you for your support.

Hi there,
Thank you for contacting me agian.
This can happen due to Firewall or Modsecurity rules set in the server. So, I suggest checking this with your hosting provider and asking them to temporarily turn off Modsecurity and Firewall to check if it solves the issue.
Also, the issue can be related to your .htacces file or files permission, so plese, as I mentioned above, contact you hosting provider and ask them to check this issue for you.
Plese let me know how did it go.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards,
