• After selecting update all plugins I was taken to a blank page with the message below. I have noticed this in forums but I can no longer login to fix anything. I get the message for any page including the login to admin page

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘$value’ (T_VARIABLE) in /home1/klakeman/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/functions.php on line 36

  • Use FTP or your host control panel File Manager to delete the wp-content/plugins/backwpup folder. It either didn’t update all the way or that version has an error. You can ask at the plugin’s support forum.
