Hi @richardhpa , Thanks for reporting this.
Can you share a basic steps to replicate ? Is it that – you just need to have a page > where you use loop grid with CPT and the issue is visible? Essentially what I am seeing from the screenshots is that the loop query gets broken here and there is no issue with styling anywhere ( or is there ? ) . You can share a loom.com screencast as well if you want.
I have managed to recreate it on a local copy of a wordpress site relatively easily. And by styles are effecting, I forgot to mention there is the same loop grid further down the page and the first item in the grids css ends up being different to the rest.
So firstly you need to make sure you have elementor pro so you can get access to the loop grid widget. You dont need a custom post type as using normal post types works too. Other than that you can install Elemailer Lite but just deactivate it for now.
The only other setup things I think you need to do is create a new page (I called it Home) and set the Reading Setting “Your home page displays” to be a static page and it be the Home page you just created. Now follow these instructions
- Create 3 random posts. Doesnt matter what they are called
- Edit the Home page with Elementor and add in a loop grid widget
- Keep all the settings default but just set the query source to be posts
- Create a new template which the loop grid will use. Just add in the post title widget, and a form widget. You don’t need to change any settings in the form widget. When you go to view the page now, it should be fine and you should see all posts in the grid
- Now go and activate Elemailer Lite. If you go back (you might need to refresh your page). You should now see that the Home page is included in the loop grid when it shouldn’t be.
If you remove the form widget from the loop grid, then it will go back to normal. So there seems to be some issue when you combine, loop grid, the default form widget and Elemailer Lite
Hi,
We have managed to recreate the issue following your provided steps. Though we do not understand the use case of using form widget in loop grid template, we have forwarded this to our developers. They will check and prioritise as per internal policy for a fix.
Thanks for reporting this!
The use case I have is each of those items in the loop grid I have above opens up elementors new off canvas widget which all has a small enquire form inside of them. It has to be the off canvas rather than a normal pop up is that I need context of the item that was clicked on.
Hi @richardhpa thanks for the details. We have just release a new version that should solve the issue. kindly test and let us know if otherwise.
Regards,
