'Editor' role cannot reorder FAQs? | WordPress.org

I have an editor role and they can edit the FAQ contents but are unable to re-order them. Is this expected? Seems strange to me… Is there any straightforward way to override this?

I just noticed this today as well! Not much use if your editor can’t re-order the faqs!! Anyone know how to get around this?

This is because this action require the “manage_options” capability. You can use this plugin (http://shinephp.com/user-role-editor-wordpress-plugin/) to do so.

Unfortunately, using the role editor plugin won’t work. Once you give an Editor “manage Options” capability, they have access to the settings tab and everything in it… not good. This plugin should allow editors to re-order faqs natively… makes no sense to lock out that simple feature to everyone but Admins…

there is a custom user role created in the plugin called ‘faq-caps’ that can be filtered to allow other user roles to use.

also, the plugin ‘members’ by Justin Tadlock allows for more fine tuned role assignment.
